The book twists the character into a different, and much less plausible, horse. The Japanese kanji are of two kanii – Hiragana and Katakana. Sure it has the readings, but it doesn’t utilize them with the meanings.

Books by Michael Rowley. One thing I will say is that I really liked the aesthetics of the book. Even if some of the pictures can be a bit of a stretch, haha.

TLDR; Basically, if you’re planning to buy this book thinking it will help you completely memorise all kanji and be able to read them, write them, and pronounce them, then I wouldn’t reccommend it. And then that a lot of the references to radicals or components are mis-numbered, sometimes they’re one or two off, or 10 off, or you just can’t find them.
